FLIGHT TO KEFLAVIK

Meeting with the guide at the airport and a flight to Europe.

2.dzień

KEFLAVIK – REYKJAVIK

Morning arrival at Keflavik International Airport, approximately 50 km from the capital of Iceland – Reykjavik. At the airport, meeting with your guide and departure  towards the historical area of ​​Borgarfjörður. On this day we will visit the Icelandic Settlement Center in Borgarnes. We will observe Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls whose waters overflow lava fields, and Deildartunguhver Hot Springs. . For those interested, a trip to the Langjökull glacier, where you can admire the ice cave open to tourists. On our way back to Reykjavik we will be looking for the polar Northern Lights. Overnight stay in Reykjavik.

3.dzień

REYKJAVIK – WELCOMING THE NEW YEAR 2024

After breakfast we set out to explore the city. Reykjavik is the northernmost capital city in the world which is home to more than half of the country’s population. We will take a walk through the streets of the climatic center. Then, an unforgettable experience awaits us – FlyOver Iceland! We will sit comfortably in relaxing armchairs and we will take a virtual flight during which we will admire the unforgettable, wild landscapes of this one-of-a-kind country. Since it’s the last day of the year, we’ll take part in a street party in the evening and at midnight we will welcome the New Year. Overnight stay in Reykjavik.

4.dzień

KIRKJUFELLSFOSS

Rested after a night of celebration, we are going on a tour of the Snæfellsnes peninsula today. Driving a scenic route along the ocean, we will admire the raw landscapes of lava fields and the snow-capped peaks of the nearby mountains.

We will have several stops at viewpoints and the opportunity to take fantastic photos. On the way back to Reykjavik, we will also see the Kirkjufellsfoss waterfall and the mountain with a characteristic shape, known to many as “The Fist of the First Men” from the TV series “Game of Thrones”. Overnight stay in Reykjavik.

 

5.dzień

THINGVELLIR – GULLFOSS

After breakfast, we go on our way to the so-called “The Golden Circle”, that is the south-western part of the island. We will visit Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On the way we will see a geothermal power plant and a unique bridge built on the collision of two tectonic plates, North American and European, connecting the gap between them. Finally we will visit one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland – Gullfoss. Return to Reykjavik for an overnight stay.

6.dzień

BLUE LAGOON

On this day, we continue the tour of the Reykjanes peninsula, whose landscape is deceptively similar to the wasteland of the moon. We will go to the geothermal spa “Blue Lagoon” where we will feel like we are in a different planet. Blue water with a temperature of up to 40 degrees Celsius flooded with black, volcanic lava does bring an unforgettable impression. Overnight stay in Reykjavik.

7.dzień

REYNISFJARA BLACK BEACH

After breakfast we head south of the island. We will take a picturesque coastal route leading through Selhalandfoss and Skogafoss to Vik, where we will stay overnight. Along the way we will visit an amazing place – Reynisfjara Black Beach, which impresses with its amazing black sand and volcanic cliffs. The second attraction of today will be exploring the lava tunnels created as a result result of a volcanic eruption. We will enter of them. The Raufarhólshellir Tunnel is one of the longest lava tunnels in Iceland and throughout Europe. Its total length is 1360 meters.

VATNAJOKUL NATIONAL PARK - DIAMOND LAGOON

Today we are going on an adventure.  On the route leading towards the beautiful National Park Vatnajokul, we will see the Svartifoss waterfall, which is one of the most picturesquely located waterfalls in Iceland. The main attraction of this day will be a visit to a truly phenomenal place, Diamond Lagoon, where pieces of ice detached from the face of the glacier drift towards the shore and settle on the beach, creating a truly magical sight. Return to Vik for an overnight stay.

SOLHEIMAJOKULL GLACIER - DEPARTURE TO THE US

This marks the last day of our adventure with Iceland. After breakfast, we leave the hotel and make our way to the airport. Before we get there, we will take one last look at the majestic landscapes of this volcanic island. We will stop at the Solheimajokull glacier and two waterfalls, the majestic Seljalandsfoss and a 60 meter Skogafoss waterfall. In the afternoon, return flight to back to the US.
