Flight to Tokyo
Our journey in Japan begins with the passport and baggage check-in, followed by our flight to Tokyo.
Tokyo
Upon landing, we proceed to the hotel. Japan welcomes us with its grandeur. We will experience this by strolling through one of the districts of Tokyo.
Tokyo
After breakfast, we start our sightseeing tour of Tokyo. Our first stop is the center, where the Imperial Palace is located, accessible via the “Double Bridge” – Nijubashi.
Next, we visit the highest observation point in Tokyo – the Tokyo Skytree, and then proceed to the Asakusa district, home to the Senso-ji Temple.
After that, we head to Ueno Park. This is one of the main cultural and recreational areas for residents, featuring a zoo and several museums.
Dinner and overnight stay in Tokyo.
Nikko
After breakfast, we travel to Nikko. This beautifully situated city serves as the gateway to Nikko National Park, renowned primarily for Toshogu – the most intricately decorated Shinto shrine in Japan.
Next, we stop at Lake Chuzenji, formed by volcanic activity. After lunch at a local restaurant, we also visit the Kegon Waterfall.
Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Tokyo.
Mt Fuji
Japan is, of course, renowned for Mount Fuji, and today we focus on this treasure.
Our first stop is the town of Fujikawaguchico.
We see the famous Mount Fuji not only from various perspectives but also ascend to the 5th station – the highest point accessible to every tourist. We also visit Arakurayama Sengen Park.
During our tour, we admire Lake Kawaguchi, with Mount Fuji towering over it. We also have a tasting of the famous melon bread shaped like… Mount Fuji!
After the tour, we transfer to the hotel for accommodation, dinner, and for those interested, a visit to the onsen, or hot springs.
NOTE: Large luggage will be transported directly to the hotel in Kyoto (1 piece of luggage per person).
Himeji, Hiroshima
After breakfast, we take the super-fast bullet train – Shinkansen to Himeji.
The city is famous for its spectacular castle known as the White Heron Castle. We visit it as well as the adjacent Kokoen gardens.
In the evening, we travel to Hiroshima for dinner.
Miyajima, Hiroshima
After breakfast, we head to Miyajima Island for sightseeing, where we visit the famous Itsukushima Shrine.
In the afternoon, we travel to Hiroshima. There, we visit the Peace Park and the museum dedicated to the victims of the atomic bombing. We also stop at the A-Bomb Dome, also known as the Atomic Bomb Dome.
Then, we take the Shinkansen train back to Kyoto.
Dinner and overnight stay in Kyoto.
Kyoto
After breakfast, we have a full day of sightseeing in Kyoto.
First, we visit the Kinkakuji Temple – the Golden Pavilion Temple. Then, we take a stroll through the bamboo forest in Arashiyama. At the entrance to the forest is the Tenryuji Temple, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
After the walk and experiencing Japanese nature and tradition, we return to the hotel for some rest.
Overnight stay in Kyoto.
Nara, Osaka
Today, we explore the towns of Nara and Osaka.
First, we head to Nara – the first capital of Japan. We see the largest wooden building in the world – the Todaiji Temple with the Great Buddha.
We also stroll through Nara Deer Park, where freely roaming sika deer can be seen. Then, we take a walk along the famous Sanjo Dori street, where souvenir shops and Japanese delicacies can be found.
Next, we travel to Osaka – the second-largest metropolis in Japan after Tokyo, and visit the Umeda Sky Building.
In the evening, we spend time in the entertainment district of Dotonbori, known for its numerous theaters, cabarets, restaurants, shops, casinos, and game arcades. It is home to one of the largest underground shopping and entertainment complexes in the world.
Return and overnight stay in Kyoto.
Kyoto
After breakfast, we dedicate another day to exploring Kyoto. We begin with the Kiyomizu Temple – also known as the Pure Water Temple.
We stroll through the Gion district, famous for its wooden architecture, numerous shops, restaurants, and tea houses. Occasionally, you can encounter Geishas and Maikos here. We participate in a Japanese tea ceremony, where every detail is perfected to perfection.
For those interested, there is the opportunity to rent a traditional Kimono for the day (additional cost approximately $40) and participate in a traditional theater performance (approximately $55).
Overnight stay in Kyoto.
Kyoto, Tokyo
After breakfast, depending on the flight departure time, there will be time for some last-minute shopping and a stroll around Tokyo, combined with exploring one of the famous districts of this extraordinary city (Shibuya, Shinjuku, or Ginza).

Departure from Tokyo
