Uganda captivated a young Winston Churchill, who described it as a “fairy tale” and a “wonderful new world.” It’s no wonder, as it offers close encounters with gorillas, awe-inspiring mist-covered mountain peaks, and sun-drenched savannas teeming with wildlife. Rwanda matches its allure, known as the “land of a thousand hills.” It’s famous for its pristine landscapes, wildlife, and excellent conditions for coffee cultivation.

Plan podróży

1.dzień

Departure to Uganda.

Passport and baggage check-in and flight to Uganda. Uganda is one of the smallest countries in Africa, yet it surprises with its diversity. The landscape of Uganda features lakes, expansive bamboo forests, the Nile, which originates here, and impressive waterfalls. It is also a country inhabited by hospitable and open people.

2.dzień

Arrival in Entebbe.

Flight to Entebbe, Uganda’s largest airport, serving both civilian and military purposes. The city was the seat of the government of the Uganda Protectorate before the country gained independence in 1962. It is also where the State House is located, serving as the office and residence of the President of Uganda.

3.dzień

Murchison Falls National Park

Very early in the morning, after breakfast, we will check out from the hotel and head to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, a sanctuary for rhinoceroses. There, accompanied by local guides and armed guards, we will embark on a walking safari to admire these beautiful, astonishing giants living completely in the wild from a distance of just a few meters.

After lunch, we will make our way to Murchison Falls National Park. We will hike to the top of the waterfall, where we will observe the beautiful surroundings and the panorama of the Victoria Nile.

Then, we will proceed to Tilenga Lodge for overnight accommodation.

4.dzień

Murchison Falls National Park - Safari

After an early breakfast, we’ll embark on a safari in Murchison Falls National Park to see Africa’s Big Five: lion, rhinoceros, leopard, elephant, and buffalo, as well as Rothschild’s giraffe, which are only found in a few small areas of Africa.

After an exciting safari, we’ll have lunch, followed by a boat cruise along the Nile, where we’ll observe hippos, Nile crocodiles, waterfowl, giraffes, elephants, and other exotic animals.

After the cruise, we’ll transfer to Hoima Resort Hotel for our overnight stay.

5.dzień

Kibale National Par

After breakfast, we will travel to Kibale National Park, located in southern Uganda. The park encompasses evergreen tropical forests and is a popular destination for safari and ecotourism, especially due to its population of chimpanzees. Along the way, we will visit tea plantations.

For lunch, we will head to the town of Fort Portal, often referred to as the “Garden City.” It is one of the most beautiful towns in Uganda, situated at around 1500 meters above sea level and surrounded by lush hills, rocky crater lakes, and tea plantations.

Then, we’ll proceed to Isunga Lodge for our overnight stay.

6.dzień

Kibale National Par

In the early morning, after a hearty breakfast, we will once again head to Kibale National Park, known for having the densest population of primates in Eastern Africa. Here, you can encounter various species of monkeys such as chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, and many other animals. Our goal will be to track down the endangered species of chimpanzees, which we hope to observe up close.

After this exciting adventure with the primates, we will have lunch. Following lunch, we will proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is adjacent to Kibale National Park.

Then, we will drive to Baboon Safari Lodge for our overnight stay.

7.dzień

Queen Elizabeth National Park - Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

In the early morning, we will embark on a safari to Kasenyi Plains, which is part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Here, we will have the opportunity to see the Big Five of Africa: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros.

After the safari, we will head for lunch, and following lunch, we will embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake George to the north with the much larger Lake Edward to the south. During the cruise, our guide will share interesting facts about the inhabitants of these waters and point out the best sightings of hippos, crocodiles, and exotic birds.

After the cruise, we will return to the hotel for some relaxation time.

8.dzień

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early morning check-out, we’ll head to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. It’s one of the richest ecosystems in Africa, a true paradise for plants and animals, part of which is the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Its main attraction is, of course, the mountain gorillas, which can only thrive in such conditions.

Next, we’ll visit a Pygmy village with a local guide, where we’ll learn about their culture and way of life. With the guide, we’ll walk through a trail, learning about their survival skills in the rainforest – discovering plants, their medicinal uses, and hunting methods. This educational trail is where the descendants of the Pygmies present the knowledge of their ancestors about the rainforest and demonstrate their way of life.

The term “Pygmy” describes populations of hunter-gatherers from the tropical forests of Central Africa who are less than about one and a half meters tall. They are called “people of the forest.”

After visiting the Pygmy village, we’ll return to the hotel for dinner.

9.dzień

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, we’ll depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where we’ll have the opportunity to observe the gorillas. First, we’ll have an informative session with a local guide who will introduce us to the intricacies of the lives of these incredible animals and the safety rules. Just to be clear: it’s about their safety, not ours!

Equipped with packed lunch, we’ll embark on the highlight of this trip – meeting the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. The opportunity to observe and photograph them is truly exciting and a real adventure.

After the expedition, we’ll drive to Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is the most beautiful place in Uganda, beautifully and idyllically situated amidst hills.

We’ll spend the night and have dinner at Bunyonyi Overland Camp.

10.dzień

Rwanda - Musanze

After an early wake-up call and breakfast, we’ll leave Uganda and head to Rwanda. We’ll drive to Musanze Kinigi Ruhengeri for lunch. This town is located at the foothills of volcanoes in Volcanoes National Park – an area as beautiful as in Uganda.

After lunch, we’ll visit the Biwacu Cultural Center. A visit to the Biwacu Cultural Center provides a rare opportunity to meet the local population in their environment. It’s a place where you can learn about the culture and history of Rwanda.

Then, we’ll continue our journey to Gisenyi on Lake Kivu.

We’ll spend the night and have dinner at Paradis Malahide Hotel.

11.dzień

Kigali - Return Home

After breakfast, we’ll return to Kigali for a city tour. We’ll visit the Nyamata Genocide Memorial, commemorating the deaths of over 800,000 Rwandans, mainly from the Tutsi ethnic group, killed in 1994. After lunch, we’ll transfer to Kanombe Airport for your flight home.
