DEPARTURE
Meeting with the group and the guide at the ORD airport in Chicago. Passport and baggage check-in. Flight to Buenos Aires. Possibility to arrive from any other airport in the world.
BUENOS AIRES CITY TOUR
After arrival and a short break, we will start exploring Buenos Aires, once called the Paris of the South. We will see the colorful La Boca district, as well as the beautiful streets of San Telmo. We will visit the Cathedral and Plaza de Mayo – the main square of the city, the site of many historical events, including the May Revolution, as well as demonstrations and protests. Then an elegant and the aristocratic district of Recoleta and the famous cemetery, considered a work of art, being the resting place of many famous personalities, such as Evita Peron. After sightseeing, we will go to the hotel. An adventure awaits us in the evening with tango and dinner. Overnight stay at the hotel.
COLONIA DEL SACRAMENTO (URUGUAY)
On this day we will take a ferry to a small colonial town located in the southern part of Uruguay, about 175 km south of the capital of Uruguay, Montevideo. Colonia del Sacramento, because that is what we are talking about, is a Uruguayan gem with a historic center and cobbled streets, founded by the Portuguese in 1680. The city, surrounded on three sides by water, was for a long time a bone of contention between the Portuguese and the Spanish settlers who founded Buenos Aires on the opposite bank of the river. After years of dispute, during which the city was passed from hand to hand, it finally found itself in the possession of Uruguay. The climatic historical center that we will visit has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. By a passenger ferry we will return to Buenos Aires for the night.
BUENOS AIRES - BARILOCHE
After breakfast we say goodbye to Buenos Aires and we go to the airport. Flight to Bariloche, which is located on the shores of the pristine Nahuel Huapi Lake in the foothills of the Andes, so it is surrounded by mountains and forests. The city is famous for Alpine Swiss architecture, with buildings made of stone, wood, and chocolate. Transfer to the hotel, free time to rest. Overnight stay at the hotel. Argentina’s most famous ski resort, Cerro Catedral (also known as Catedral Alta Patagonia), is just 20 kilometers from downtown Bariloche, so it is often referred to as the Bariloche ski resort. Catedral is the largest ski resort in Argentina covering 1,200 hectares and offers stunning views of Lake Nahuel Huapi and other surrounding mountains. Cerro Catedral has a good mix of runs for all skill levels.
CERRO CATEDRAL SKI RESORT
Let the white madness begin! Cerro Catedral has a good mix of trails for all skill levels. It offers over 120 kilometers of slopes, 45 ski lifts and ski resorts at altitudes of up to 2180meters.
SKI RESORT CERRO CATEDRAL
Kolejny dzień białego szaleństwa w resorcie Cerro Catedral.
CERRO CATEDRAL SKI RESORT
Another day of white snow madness in the Cerro Catedral resort.
CERRO CATEDRAL SKI RESORT
On this day we still enjoy the charms of the mountains and snow.
BARILOCHE – BUENOS AIRES
We say goodbye to the beautiful Bariloche and return to Buenos Aires from where we will continue to a flight to Chicago.
